Abstract

In April 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Sumatera Barat Province will be 3.81 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.22. The highest inflation occurred in Pasaman Barat Regency at 5.52 percent with a CPI of 108.72 and the lowest occurred in Padang City at 3.20 percent with a CPI of 106.60.
On a month to month (m-to-m) basis, Sumatera Barat Province in April 2024 experienced deflation of 0.30 percent. Until April 2024, year to date (y-to-d) inflation in Sumatera Barat Province was 1.19 percent.
The development of prices for various commodities in April 2024 generally shows an increase. Based on monitoring results from BPS-Statistics Sumatera Barat Province in 4 districts/cities, in April 2024 there was y-on-y inflation of 3.81 percent or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 103.28 in April 2023 to 107.22 in April 2024
