Gross Regional Domestic Product of Padang Panjang by Industry 2011

One of the most important economic indicators to know the economic condition of a certain region in a period of time is shown by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), either at current or constant prices. GRDP is defined as total value added created by all economic units in the region, or is the total value of final goods and services produced by the economic units. GRDP at current prices reflects the total value added of goods and services calculated on the basis of the prices prevailing in every coresponding current year. While GRDP at constant prices shows the total value added of goods and services calculated by using the prices of goods and services prevailing in a selected base year, that is 2000 base year. GRDP at current prices can be used primarily to know the economic shift and structure of region, mean while GRDP at constan prices is to know the economic growth rate from year to year.
