Abstract

  • Based on monitoring results from BPS-Statistics Sumatera Barat Province in 4 regencies/municipalities, in January 2024 there was y-on-y inflation of 2.57 percent, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 102.97 in January 2023 to 105.62 in January 2024. 
  • On an m-to-m and y-to-d basis, Sumatera Barat Province experienced deflation of 0.32 percent each. 
  • The highest inflation occurred in Pasaman Barat Regency at 3.73 percent with a CPI of 105.88 and the lowest occurred in Bukittinggi Municipality at 1.38 percent with a CPI of 104.34
