The West Sumatra Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in October 2023 was recorded at 111.62 and the price of dry harvested grain at the farmer level increased by 7.47 percent

Abstract

Sumatera Barat's NTP in October 2023 was 111.62 or an increase of 0.71 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The increase in NTP was due to an increase in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) which rose by 0.71 percent, while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.003 percent.
The Sumatera Barat Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in October 2023 was 110.24 or an increase of 0.29 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
In October 2023, the NTP for each subsector was recorded at 105.54 for the food crops subsector (NTPP), 95.47 for the horticulture subsector (NTPH), 126.49 for the smallholder plantation crops subsector (NTPR), 108.62 for the livestock subsector ( NTPT), and 96.76 for the fisheries subsector (NTPN). The fisheries subsector is divided into two, namely the capture fisheries and aquaculture subsectors with NTP of 101.88 and 92.86 respectively.
In October 2023, the average price of GKP quality grain at the farmer level increased by 7.47 percent from IDR 6,876.36 per kg (September 2023) to IDR 7,390.02 per kg (October 2023).
