Abstraction
In March 2023, the level of income inequality for the population of West Sumatra as measured by the Gini Ratio was 0.280. This figure decreased when compared to the Gini Ratio for September 2022 which was 0.292. Meanwhile, when compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2022 (0.300), there was a decrease of 0.020 points.
  • The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2023 was recorded at 0.305, down by 0.011 points compared to the Gini Ratio in September 2022 which was 0.316. Compared to the March 2022 Gini Ratio, it recorded a decrease of 0.024 points where the March 2022 Gini Ratio was 0.329.
  • The Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2023 was recorded at 0.232, or decreased by 0.011 points compared to the September 2022 figure of 0.243, and decreased by 0.015 points compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2022 which was recorded at 0.247
