West Sumatra's NTP in May 2023 was 107.09 or down 0.29 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The decline in NTP was due to the price index received by farmers (It) which decreased by 0.33 percent, while the price index paid by farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.03 percent.

The West Sumatra Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in May 2023 was 104.90, down 0.37 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.

In May 2023 the average price of GKP quality grain at the farm level increased by 2.42 percent from IDR 6,125.34 per kg (April 2023) to IDR 6,273.41 per kg (May 2023). And at the milling level, the average price of grain of the same GKP quality increased by 2.14 percent from IDR 6,281.01 per kg (April 2023) to IDR 6,415.18 per kg (May 2023).
