The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) throughout Indonesia is currently conducting the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) which is an annual routine activity. This Sakernas is held twice a year, in February and August. This activity is specifically designed to collect employment data in Indonesia.
In August, the Annual Sakernas was held with a sample size of 30,000 Census Blocks or as many as 300,000 households spread throughout Indonesia. In Padang Panjang City, there are 36 Census Blocks or as many as 360 households that will be sampled in this August Sakernas activity.
The field data collection was carried out by Statistical Partners who had been recruited and given training by BPS Padang Panjang City. This statistical partner recruitment was carried out in early 2022 which was carried out openly (Open Recruitment) through the website and social media of BPS Padang Panjang City. Candidates for statistical partners who register must follow several selection stages such as administrative selection, written test and interview test. Statistical Partners who are declared to have passed will then take part in officer training before going to the field to get an understanding of the material, concepts and definitions of the activities to be carried out.
